First Flush Diverters

First Flush Diverters #

First Flush diverters are used with rainwater collection systems. The diverter collects the first runoff from a roof in a tube. When the tube is full, water can then enter storage tanks. This allows dirt, debris, etc. to wash away before water enters storage. The flushed water is easily drained for use in gardens.

Water fills the vertical pipe, allowing debris and sediments to sink to the bottom. When the diverter tube is full, subsequent water diverts to the collection tank.
