Concrete Cloth

Concrete Cloth #

Concrete Cloth (aka Concrete Canvas) is a mat made of cementitious material used to apply concrete in hard to reach places, such as on slopes, in trenches, or to form retaining walls. Concrete cloth does not require forms or mixing. Once a roll is cut and secured in place, it cures quickly when hydrated with water.

Concrete cloth is expensive. It might be possible to make your own by sewing fiber matting impregnated with concrete between layers of Tyvek (house wrap), and landscaping cloth. The Tyvek side would be placed face down, so that the concrete can be cured by wetting the landscaping cloth.
