Preparedness

 Preparedness #

Preparedness is readiness for short-term disruptions that could affect you. Threats in this category include: storms, power outages, job loss, supply chain insecurity, and so on.

After you identify the most likely disruptive events, focus on the ones that are most likely to affect you. For example, tornados and hurricanes are both likely to occur every year. But if you live in Florida, your focus should be hurricanes, not tornados.

Next, take steps to mitigate the effects of most likely events, should they happen. For example, you can put aside money in case of job loss, better manage your food supply, convert part of your basement into a storm shelter, or pack survival kits for your family.

Since solar generators are quiet and produce no odor, they are displacing traditional generators in some applications.
